Next Thursday is my last radiation treatment. Good thing, because I'm really feeling it now. Weary, sleepy.......
I know the road to Tri-Cities very well now. I don't drive myself anymore, and I've had fun chatting with the friends who have driven me there. Always makes me feel better.
I've been thinking about you and counting the minutes until tomorrow when the last treatment is done.
I hope you'll start to regain strength quickly as soon as it stops and most of all that it was all worth it--that the treatments manage to destroy every last SPECK of cancer. Take care of yourself, and have a great final trip. (Maybe some ice cream? Shoe shopping??)
I'm so glad you're done with them! HOORAY! And I'm also glad you get people to go with you. Trips are ALWAYS better with people to talk to...especially when you have to travel that often.
And it's nice to see you in the office every day, too. You've been missed!
Through a routine mammogram in September, I discovered I have breast cancer. After the initial shock, we kept busy educating ourselves about the disease, but most of all adjusting emotionally to this new way of life. (How handy that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month!)
