Is There a Draft In Here?

I have 9 hours of experience with a bald head.  Beth, my regular hair dresser, shaved it off this morning since I have been losing hair steadily since Saturday.  Then, she styled the wig that I brought back last week from Seattle.

Vince was with me at the salon.  Since he shaves his head regularly, scalps are not that unfamiliar to me, however, seeing myself in the mirror at first....I didn't recognize myself.......if that makes any sense.

The experience wasn't as difficult as I dreaded.  Now, looking back on the last few days, I would say it was more upsetting to run my fingers through my hair and have "chunks" of hair come out.

Hi Rosa,
Hope you marching right through this treatment and counting them down. I hope to see you this time around when you come back to WW.
I'm curious about the wig. Does your mom like it? (joke). Sandra G

Hi Rosa,

I've been thinking about you and praying for you and your family. I like this blog update you are doing...this blog heading is hysterical. Well, wigs are the new winter fashion accessory, or so I hear.
Love to you and your family,
Jill

Hi Rosa ~

Ever since my mom shared about your journey with cancer, I've been praying for you. I pray that you will have strength, assurance of God's presence with you, and that you will receive healing. My parents belong to a prayer group, and they've added you to their prayer list as well. You are a loved person, and there are many praying for you. Take courage.

This post made me smile. Your way of telling this story was great, and I enjoyed it. I can't pretend to understand how it feels to go through something like this, but I do hope you know that you have a HUGE network of support, and we are all rooting for you! (And I for one can't wait to see what crazy things you did with your wig. Is it blue?!?) :)
